0Douglas Method classes are designed to help you achieve your health and fitness goals through expertly designed exercises, modified to your needs. Because my classes are limited a maximum of 12 people, you will get plenty of personal attention.
Douglas Method classes are suitable for all levels of ability, however, depending on the severity of your issues, you may benefit more from a one-to-one clinical consultation. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss any specific issues/concerns.

I don't supply mats for hygiene reasons, so please bring one of your own (pilates/yoga mat or similar non-slip type of exercise mat). Suitable mats can be found in most supermarkets and sports shops, or on-line.
Please wear comfortable, stretchy (i.e. non-restrictive) clothing. Layers are a good idea so you can be warm/cool enough to suit you. Socks or bare feet are usual - not trainers, etc.
Please also feel free to bring a pen/paper to make notes about the exercises and any modifications I might give you.
Class fees are £8.50 per session, payable in blocks of 10 (weekly) sessions, i.e. £85
Blocks run over 10 consecutive weeks. If you miss a class for any reason (e.g. you can't make it one week) you may redeem that missed session by attending a session at any of the other classes listed above instead, within the 10 weeks.
Please note, I don't offer one-of/pay-as-you-go sessions. This is because of the close attention I give to students, and the extra input beginners need. However, you can arrange to observe a class before signing up. Please do have a chat with me if you have any questions about this.

Currently, I am not running any scheduled Douglas Method classes in Edinburgh. However, the classes at Murieston Village Hall in Livingston are very handy (about 20 seconds walk) for Livingston South train station which connects with a number of stations between Edinburgh Waverly and Livingston. Linlithgow Low Port Centre is also just a few minutes walk from the train station (Linlithgow) which is on the main Edinburgh/Falkirk/ Glasgow line. I would consider running The Douglas Method classes in Edinburgh if there was enough demand - so please do let me know that you are interested...
